Cornerstone Capital Services charges a one-time success fee of 3% to 7% of the financing successfully raised. There is no upfront brokerage fee. The fee becomes payable only when financing is successful, on the terms written into the contract you receive before anything proceeds. The exact percentage inside that range is quoted after we have assessed your case, because a straightforward application and a difficult one are not the same amount of work.
A worked example
If we successfully raise S$100,000 for your business and the agreed success fee is 5%, the brokerage fee is S$5,000. That is the whole calculation. It is charged once, on the financing actually raised, not on an application, not on a quotation, and not monthly.
Why a range and not one number
The fee should reflect the complexity of the work involved. Some cases are clean: healthy revenue, strong margins, tidy bank statements, nothing that needs explaining. Others need restructuring, mitigation of specific credit concerns, several rounds of questions with bankers, or a search for alternative financing routes when the obvious one closes. Charging both at the same rate would mean overcharging the first business to subsidise the second.
So we assess the case first, then quote. You see the percentage in writing before you commit to anything.
Trade facilities are calculated differently
For trade facilities, the fee is also one-time, but it is calculated as a fixed percentage of the maximum approved facility limit rather than of an amount drawn down. A trade line is a revolving limit you use repeatedly; there is no single “amount raised” to charge against, so the limit is the basis.
What you are actually paying for
Not the submission of a form. The work is assessing the business, identifying which financing routes genuinely fit, structuring the case so it reads well to a credit officer, dealing with the flags that turn into rejections, coordinating several lenders in parallel and managing the process through to disbursement.
