Typically: a Singapore-based business with legitimate commercial activity, at least six months of active revenue showing in the company bank statements, at least 30% local shareholding, and a local shareholder or director able to come on board as a Personal Guarantor. These are typical requirements, not an automatic guarantee of eligibility. Every case is assessed on its own facts.
Typical minimum requirements
- Singapore-based business carrying out legitimate commercial activity
- At least 6 months of active revenue visible in the company bank statements
- At least 30% local shareholding, where the relevant local shareholder or director is able to come on board as a Personal Guarantor
- Directors or shareholders acting as Personal Guarantors generally provide their latest 2 years of personal Notice of Assessment (NOA)
There is no minimum number of years
Contrary to what a lot of businesses assume, there is no fixed minimum number of years a company must have been incorporated. What matters is that there is enough operating history to assess, which in practice means six months of revenue actually moving through the account.
Industries we do not work with
We work with Singapore businesses across a wide range of industries, provided the business operates legitimately and is not involved in illegal or prohibited activities, including vice-related businesses.
What still gets assessed
Meeting the list above is the starting point, not an approval. Every case is assessed on the company’s financial position, revenue, existing liabilities, credit profile, ownership structure and the requirements of the relevant lender. Eligibility is always subject to that assessment and to lender criteria.
Where a case can sometimes be mitigated
Where a director is missing one year of personal NOA, the case can sometimes be mitigated if there are multiple suitable directors or shareholders able to come on board as Personal Guarantors. That is a case-by-case judgement, not a workaround.
When to get a case looked at
If your business has been operating for at least six months with active revenue, it may be worth having the case assessed, even if you have previously been rejected by a bank or are unsure how much you could qualify for.
Talk to us about your case
Every business is different, and the only honest way to answer “can we get this funded” is to look at your numbers. Send us your company name, roughly how much you need and what it is for, and we will tell you whether there is a case worth building. Speak to us, or read how it works.
