At minimum: company bank statements showing at least six months of active revenue, the company’s financial statements, ACRA business profile and ownership particulars, and the latest two years of personal Notice of Assessment for each director or shareholder coming on board as a Personal Guarantor. Individual lenders ask for more depending on the case and the facility.
The core pack
- Company bank statements — the most important single document. Six months minimum, showing active trading revenue rather than injections or transfers.
- Financial statements — the most recent set available.
- ACRA business profile — entity particulars, shareholding and directors.
- Personal NOA, 2 years — for every director or shareholder acting as a Personal Guarantor.
- Identification for the guarantors.
- Existing facility details — what the business already owes and to whom.
Case-specific additions
Depending on what the funding is for, a lender may also ask for an awarded contract or purchase order, a quotation for equipment, a tenancy or property document, a debtor ageing list, or a management account more recent than the last filed set. A structured case anticipates these rather than being surprised by them.
Why this is the part that decides your timeline
The lender’s processing time is not something you control. The completeness of your pack is. Incomplete documentation is the most common reason a case that should have taken about a week stretches into several. See how long financing actually takes.
A note on account conduct
Your bank statements are read closely — balances, regularity of receipts, returned items, how the account is actually run. Six months of tidy conduct before you apply is worth more than any covering letter. If you are planning to seek financing later this year, that is the thing to start on now.
Send them once
When a case is positioned across several suitable lenders in parallel, the documents are assembled once and presented to each. You are not re-gathering the same pack for every bank in turn.
Talk to us about your case
